Step Inside the Post-Apocalyptic World of Urban Strife
After a lengthy Early Access period shaped by player feedback, White Pond Games and MicroProse have officially launched Urban Strife Version 1.0 on Steam. The full release marks the completion of the game’s development, bringing players the complete campaign, expanded gameplay systems, and the long-awaited showdown against the massive Atlanta Horde.
Set in a post-apocalyptic version of the American South, Urban Strife combines turn-based tactical combat, survival management, RPG progression, and base-building into a single experience. Players take on the role of a survivor rescued by Urban Shelter, where they must recruit allies, strengthen their community, manage scarce resources, and navigate the complex politics of rival factions while fighting off relentless zombie threats.
Version 1.0 delivers the complete story campaign with branching quests, multiple faction paths, and a climactic final siege that serves as the game’s conclusion. Alongside the full narrative, players can experience deeper shelter management, expanded faction headquarters, upgraded production systems, refined tactical combat, and realistic ballistics featuring armor penetration, ammunition management, and destructible environments.
The game also includes dynamic survival mechanics that require careful management of food, fuel, morale, health, diseases, and population growth. Players can recruit a diverse militia of survivors, each with unique personalities, skills, and combat roles, while exploring dozens of handcrafted locations filled with quests, hidden rewards, and dangerous encounters. Massive zombie hordes, powered by the game’s simultaneous movement system, add another layer of tension to every battle.
With Version 1.0 now available, Urban Strife finally delivers the complete experience promised during Early Access, giving strategy and survival fans plenty of reasons to jump into its brutal post-apocalyptic world.
