Meet Your Companions in Scary Baboon
Scary Baboon has just received its new Pet Update, introducing a collectible companion system that gives players even more reasons to jump back into the popular social horror game. The update arrives shortly after the game’s successful appearance at VidCon, where it attracted a large crowd of fans, creators, and families.

With the latest update, players can purchase eggs, hatch them into adorable “Lil Babs,” and add them to a growing pet collection. These companions can follow players throughout the game, display different emotions, and roam around inside a customizable pet pen. Players can also equip their favorite pets, track their collection through a dedicated pet index, and trade duplicates to unlock rarer companions.
Although pets are currently cosmetic, developer ENVER says the feature is only the beginning. Future updates will expand the system with additional interactions, behaviors, and gameplay possibilities.
The Pet Update also adds a new social element, allowing players to showcase their collections, compare rare pets with friends, and personalize their in-game experience even further.
Scary Baboon has continued to grow through regular content updates, including Dreamcore, Fight Back, and Toxic, each introducing new environments, gameplay mechanics, and quality-of-life improvements. The game’s thriving community has also played a major role in its success, with over 200,000 members on its official Discord and millions of downloads on Meta Quest. It currently maintains a strong 4.6-star rating from more than 59,000 player reviews.
The Pet Update is available now on Meta Quest, giving both new and returning players another fun reason to explore Scary Baboon’s chaotic horror world. As ENVER continues to support the game with fresh content, the new pet system looks set to become another fan-favorite feature.
