Take Some Risks in Lucky Punk
Indie developer Green Parrot Games has just released the first gameplay trailer and a public demo for its upcoming game, Lucky Punk. It’s a fast-paced roguelike deckbuilder that is all about making decisions that involve a lot of risk. The demo is now available on Steam, and players can try it out to see what the game is really like.
Lucky Punk also made an appearance at the Women-Led Games Showcase, a platform that highlights upcoming titles created by teams with women in key creative roles. The game stood out as one of the most interesting titles because of its mechanics and bold visual direction.
Lucky Punk does not look like any other deckbuilder game. It is bright, colorful, and features a comic-inspired aesthetic. Art Director Sarah Burrini describes it as loud, clear, more vibrant, and rebellious. Using a Zipatone comic style, it blends a dystopian setting with a surprising sense of energy and humor, creating a striking contrast that defines its identity.
When you play Lucky Punk you know what you are getting into. The game tells you the odds of what will happen when you can make choices. The Co-Founder and Game Designer at Green Parrot, Brenden Gibbons, said, “You know the odds. You know the risk. The exciting part is that players still keep pushing anyway.” It is fast-paced and intriguing, where you have to make high-stakes decisions. It is also funny and does not take itself too seriously.
The game is currently in development for PC and will arrive on Steam in late 2026. Overall, Lucky Punk looks like a unique take on the deckbuilding genre. So, make sure to add this one to your wishlist for more future updates.
