Indie studio Buzzin’ Games has unveiled its debut title, Rock, Paper, Severed, a chilling reimagining of the familiar hand game, now twisted into a high-stakes horror experience. Set to release on PC via Steam in 2026, the game transforms a simple childhood pastime into something far more sinister.
At first glance, the concept feels straightforward: players sit at a table and play Rock, Paper, Scissors. However, this version dramatically raises the tension. Every loss comes with a gruesome consequence, as each mistake costs a finger. What begins as a game of chance quickly turns into a nerve-wracking battle of strategy and survival, where every decision matters.
Overseeing the experience is a mysterious figure known only as the Entity. Acting as both host and judge, the Entity lures participants with the promise of redemption, offering them a chance to erase their past sins. But escaping the table is not so easy. As matches progress, unsettling fragments of each player’s past begin to surface, slowly revealing the horrifying truth behind the game.
Players can take on the challenge alone in a single-player mode, facing the Entity in an intense one-on-one duel, or compete in multiplayer matches with up to four players, where only one can walk away unscathed. Each mode tests not just skill, but how much one is willing to sacrifice.
