Wishlist Last Reach on Steam Right Now
Newly founded Copenhagen-based indie studio Greengage Games has pulled back the curtain on its debut title, Last Reach, a third-person action-adventure RPG that puts players in the shoes of a powerful druid fighting against a spreading corruption. The game is now available to wishlist on Steam.
What immediately sets Last Reach apart is its unique progression system. Instead of relying on a traditional skill tree, players will grow and restore their Grove, with every tree they cultivate shaping their abilities. The Grove revolves around two forms of resonance, Vigor and Bane, allowing players to decide exactly how their druid’s powers develop.
That freedom comes with a price. Last Reach features skill-driven combat where mistakes can quickly prove deadly. Players will face a variety of dangerous enemies and formidable bosses, making preparation and choosing the right abilities crucial before heading into battle.
But combat isn’t the only thing that can shape your journey. Last Reach takes a more unpredictable approach to morality, where nature has no simple concept of good or evil. Decisions involving humans, beasts, and enemies can alter the Grove and, in turn, affect the powers available to the player.
With its unusual progression system, challenging combat, and morally complex world, Last Reach is shaping up to be an intriguing debut for Greengage Games. The studio may be new, but its first adventure is already giving players plenty of reasons to keep an eye on it.
