Welcome to Meowpire
Indie developer Kaeru Takeda has officially launched Meowpire on Steam, bringing a unique blend of God simulation and clicker mechanics to players. The game takes a different approach from traditional strategy titles, placing players in a divine role where they observe rather than control a world ruled by warring cat factions.

Meowpire is built around the simple yet engaging idea of watching history unfold. Players do not command units directly. Instead, they earn Faith Points through prayer and use them to subtly influence the ongoing conflicts. This system allows for light interaction while maintaining the game’s focus on passive observation.
The experience revolves around eight distinct cat clans that expand, collide, and reshape the map over time. The absence of micromanagement shifts attention toward the evolving narrative, making each session feel organic. Players can intervene with divine powers, ranging from helpful blessings and hero summons to destructive events such as plagues, meteors, and revolutions.
To enhance replayability, the game includes a map editor that allows players to design custom battlefields by adjusting terrain and placing factions. Additional features such as multiple game speeds, difficulty options, language support, and a chronicle system ensure that each playthrough offers something new.
Following a positive reception on its Steam store page, Meowpire arrives as a full release, inviting players to enjoy its relaxed, second-screen-style gameplay. Overall, it stands out as a calm yet dynamic experience, combining light interaction with the quiet satisfaction of watching a world shape itself over time. You can grab the game right now for just $3.59 at a 10% launch discount until 21 May.
