Ivalice Studio has officially revealed its latest project, Rogue Fantasy: Ever-Shifting Worlds, a new title that blends classic JRPG elements with modern roguelike design. The game aims to push the boundaries of traditional role-playing experiences by combining tactical turn-based combat, auto-battler strategy, and unpredictable progression systems. Unlike conventional JRPGs that follow fixed story paths, Rogue Fantasy introduces a dynamic world-generation system. Each playthrough creates a completely new adventure, filled with different environments, quests, and characters. This design ensures that no two runs feel the same, encouraging players to constantly rethink their strategies.
At the core of the experience is a strong emphasis on replayability and tactical depth. Players can build and customize their party using a mix of classic JRPG mechanics and modern automated combat systems. Exploration also carries significant risk, as venturing through dangerous dungeons can either reward players with powerful loot or end their journey entirely.
Developed in Rabat, the project highlights Ivalice Studio’s ambition to bring a fresh creative voice to the indie scene while maintaining high production quality.
