A Brutal Minigame Awaits in Resident Evil Requiem
Capcom has rolled out a fresh wave of content for Resident Evil Requiem, introducing a new free minigame titled LEON MUST DIE FOREVER, now available across all major platforms. Arriving as part of the game’s continued post-launch support, the mode adds a fast-paced, combat-heavy experience centered around fan-favorite agent Leon S. Kennedy.
Unlocked after completing the main story, the minigame sends players back through familiar locations, now packed with tougher enemy variants and escalating difficulty tiers. The goal is simple but intense: survive increasingly challenging encounters, defeat the final boss, and do it all against the pressure of a ticking clock. Players can build up an enhancement gauge during combat to activate Leon’s exclusive “enhancer abilities,” adding a strategic layer to the chaos.
Each run offers a slightly different experience, with changes to area progression and ability choices that encourage replayability. Alongside this new mode, the update also brings several bug fixes across platforms and enhanced PC support for the DualSense controller, including adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.
Beyond gameplay, new merchandise themed around the minigame is now available, and fans can also look forward to the first-ever Resident Evil amiibo figures launching on July 30, featuring Leon and Grace Ashcroft.
With Resident Evil Requiem continuing to build momentum as the franchise celebrates its 30th anniversary, this latest update adds even more value for players diving back into Raccoon City.
Overall, LEON MUST DIE FOREVER feels like a strong addition that keeps the experience fresh while rewarding dedicated fans with new challenges.
