Mixtape Gets DreamyÂ
Music is powerful. It holds emotion, meaning, and memory. It has the power to develop the mind to associate people with certain songs. Music is amazing and in many ways life changing. Now, what if it defined one last night of adventure. Today, Annapurna Interactive and award-winning studio Beethoven and Dinosaur are happy to announce the launch of their narrative driven adventure, Mixtape. The game follows three high-school friends on their adventure to their final party together. Importantly, the game is set to a soundtrack that spans a generation. A press release dives into all the details on the game. Additionally, a launch trailer gives gamers a look at the game’s art style and narrative.Â

Mixtape aims to capture a reflective coming of age tale about three high-school friends. En-route to their last party together, the three friends have a perfectly currated playlist that draws them into dreamlike reenactments of some of their formative memories. Nostalgic aimlessness, adventure, mischief, the highs and lows of youth, and the bittersweetness of growth are all encompassed in the game. Of course, the game is set to a legendary soundtrack to convey the emotions of the story. Players can expect to hear musical icons such as DEVO, Roxy Music, Lush, The Smashing Pumpkins, Iggy Pop, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joy Division, and The Cure. Hang out, sneak out, make out. It’s the last big night in Mixtape. Get swept up in the nostalgia.Â
Of course, players can get a glimpse of the game in the new launch trailer. Check it out below.Â
