Hell Clock Is Ready for Its Console Debut
Hell Clock is expanding its reach in a big way, with developer Rogue Snail and publisher Mad Mushroom confirming that the dark action RPG will arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on June 2, 2026. On the same day, players across all platforms will also get access to the game’s first major expansion, Cursed War.
The announcement was made during the Wishlisted Expo, alongside a fresh trailer offering a first look at the upcoming content. The expansion builds on the game’s distinct blend of fast-paced roguelike action and deep ARPG systems, while continuing its grim reinterpretation of real historical events.
Set against the backdrop of Brazil’s War of Canudos, Hell Clock places players in the role of Pajeu, a warrior navigating the depths of Purgatory and Hell. Combat revolves around mastering powerful skills, collecting Blessed Gear, and equipping unique relics, all while racing against the ever-present Hell Clock that limits time in each run and revives Pajeu upon defeat.
Cursed War shifts the focus to the Paraguayan War, exploring Pajeu’s past as a soldier before the events of the base game. This new chapter adds narrative depth along with expanded systems and additional challenges.
“The response to Hell Clock from ARPG and roguelike fans since launching last year has driven our team to continue building on Pajeu’s story, and we can’t wait to hear what console players think,” said Mark Venturelli, CEO of Rogue Snail and Creative Director on Hell Clock. “In the Cursed War expansion we’re adding more content, deeper systems, and uncovering more of our dark fantasy version of Brazilian history for everyone to dig into.”
With its console debut and first expansion arriving together, the game will reach a wider audience while pushing its dark, history-inspired world even further.
