Indie studio Chaotic Minds has officially kicked off the closed beta for its Norse-inspired roguelite Vilde, marking a major milestone after eight months of intensive development. The first wave of invites has already been sent out, giving selected players immediate access to the game’s revamped combat arenas and systems.
Registrations, however, are still open. The developers are continuing to onboard new players, with additional waves of Steam keys expected to roll out soon. This ensures that more players will get the chance to experience the latest build in the coming weeks. You can sign up right now at: Vilde closed beta sign up

At the heart of this beta is the ambitious “Starfall” overhaul. It’s a complete rework of the game powered by Unreal Engine 5.6. The update brings a noticeable leap in performance, alongside a more fluid and intense combat system. The developers have fully redesigned the Enemy AI, resulting in faster-paced encounters where both melee and ranged foes adapt dynamically, keeping players constantly engaged.
The beta also introduces Amulets, which function as class systems that shape a player’s build from the very beginning. Alongside this, players can unleash powerful Starshards, offering unique ultimate abilities that define each run. A deeper meta-progression system allows players to invest resources into a new Talents Tree, unlocking permanent upgrades and bonuses.
With expanded weapon variety, improved UI, and enhanced performance, this beta marks a significant evolution for Vilde as the team looks to refine the experience through player feedback.
