Prepare for the Battle in Void Hunters
Artifex Mundi, the studio behind popular mobile titles such as Unsolved and Bladebound, has revealed its next project called Void Hunters. The announcement came out during the Future Games Show Live from GDC. It’s a free-to-play turn-based RPG hero collector set in a dark fantasy world. The game is currently in development, and the studio plans to invite players to upcoming alpha tests in the near future.
Void Hunters blends a traditional story campaign with roguelite-inspired missions called “Hunting Grounds.” These missions place players in unpredictable situations where characters gain unique boons through randomized encounters. Each run presents different risks and rewards, pushing players to decide how far they are willing to go while facing increasingly dangerous enemies before reaching powerful boss encounters.
Combat focuses heavily on strategy. Players assemble squads of hunters, each with distinct abilities, personalities, and motivations tied to the game’s dark fantasy setting. Team composition and character development play an important role in determining the outcome of battles against the mysterious Void. The game also includes replayable missions that allow players to experiment with different strategies, test new team combinations, and refine their tactical approach. Careful planning, strong team synergy, and smart risk-taking often determine success on the battlefield.
Artifex Mundi plans to release Void Hunters on PC through Steam as well as on mobile devices through Google Play and the Apple App Store. The game will support crossplay and cross progression across all platforms. Players interested in trying the game early can sign up for the upcoming alpha tests through the official Discord server, which is expected to begin in the coming weeks.
