A Chance to Try Psycho-Sleuth
Taiwanese indie studio PHOSEPO has announced that Psycho-Sleuth, its cognitive-disorder–themed mystery visual novel, will join Steam Mystery Fest from January 13 to January 20. To mark the occasion, the studio will release a free, limited-time spin-off demo available only during the festival.

This standalone episode will introduce players to a brand-new mystery set in the unsettling world of Psycho-Sleuth. The story focuses on the disturbing secrets hidden within protagonist Lyle’s childhood drawings, using them to uncover fragments of his fractured memories and psychological struggles. PHOSEPO designed the spin-off as a self-contained experience, allowing players to jump in without any save data from the main demo. This approach makes the episode accessible to newcomers while still expanding the game’s broader narrative for returning fans.
Alongside the new content, PHOSEPO has completed a major localization overhaul. Native-language experts supervised a full English text rewrite, sharpening dialogue and improving narrative clarity to deliver a more immersive experience for international audiences.
Psycho-Sleuth has already attracted significant attention within the indie scene. During Steam Next Fest, major gaming outlets such as 4Gamer, Famitsu, and Bahamut featured the title, highlighting its unique psychological themes and mystery-driven storytelling. With its refined localization and exclusive festival content, the limited-time spin-off gives mystery and visual novel fans a strong reason to explore Psycho-Sleuth during Steam Mystery Fest.
