Prepare to Unravel the Secret in As Duty Demands

Rabbit Bay Games has officially announced that the first playable demo of As Duty Demands will launch in early February, offering players their first hands-on experience with the studio’s upcoming psychological horror title. The game is currently planned for release in March 2026 and is now available to wishlist on Steam. You can also check out the official trailer below.

As Duty Demands is a first-person psychological horror game taking place within the decaying halls of the Del Bono Naval Retirement Home. Players step into the role of Coral, a newly hired nurse who responds to a simple job posting, only to find herself trapped in a facility where duty, discipline, and trauma collide. What begins as routine caregiving quickly spirals into a fight for survival as the building itself becomes hostile.

Under the strict rule of Admiral del Bono, the retirement home maintains military order during the day. But when night falls, reality fractures. Corridors transform into claustrophobic ship hulls, rust and seawater bleed through the walls. While the lingering horrors of war take physical form. These nightmarish shifts reflect the unresolved trauma of forgotten naval veterans, whose memories manifest as terrifying environments and encounters.

The game places strong emphasis on environmental storytelling, psychological tension, and immersive exploration. Each patient represents a deeply personal fragment of naval warfare. This ranges from the crushing isolation of submarine missions to the chaos of open-sea combat. With minimal guidance from the unsettlingly indifferent staff, players must trust their instincts, uncover the Admiral’s secrets, and endure the demands placed upon them.

With its unique setting and narrative-driven horror, As Duty Demands aims to deliver a deeply unsettling experience rooted in memory, abandonment, and the cost of duty.
