Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is currently available at a limited-time free giveaway on the Epic Games Store as part of its Holiday promotion. Publisher 505 Games and developer ArtPlay, Inc. have confirmed that everyone can claim this amazing Metroidvania action RPG for free for a 24-hour window exclusively on Epic’s storefront. Once the promotion ends, the game will return to its standard price.
The giveaway begins on December 23 at 4 pm GMT and concludes on December 24 at 3:59 pm GMT. Players only need to claim the title within this period to keep it permanently in their Epic Games library.
Created by legendary producer Koji Igarashi, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night delivers a classic side-scrolling action RPG experience. Players step into the role of Miriam, an orphan afflicted by a curse that slowly turns her body to crystal. To save herself and prevent humanity’s downfall, she ventures through a vast, demon-filled castle summoned by Gebel, a former friend whose humanity the same dark power has overtaken.
The game is widely praised for its deep customization systems, fluid combat, atmospheric environments, and faithful evolution of the genre. Its intricate level design and wide range of abilities reward careful exploration and experimentation.
In addition to this giveaway, the Bloodstained franchise continues to expand. The developers also announced a new entry called Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement on June 5, 2025, with a planned release in 2026.
