Cave Crave VR Crawls Onto SteamVR Today

Explore the Underground in Cave Crave VR

Cave Crave VR arrives on SteamVR today, bringing its intense underground adventure to PC VR players with a 25% launch discount. The offer is available for the first 14 days, running until December 26 at 7:00 PM CEST. Previously released on Meta Quest and PSVR2, where it has sold over 75,000 copies, Cave Crave VR now makes its SteamVR debut with notable visual and atmospheric upgrades.

Set deep below the surface, Cave Crave VR places players inside pitch black tunnels, narrow squeezes, and vast subterranean chambers. On PC VR, these environments are enhanced with improved lighting, dynamic water reflections, sharper textures, and a denser, more immersive atmosphere that heightens the sense of isolation and scale.

The launch comes with three distinct modes. Story Mode offers a narrative-driven expedition with the option to explore freely. Tourist Mode provides guided cave tours designed for a calmer and more accessible experience. Horror Mode leans into claustrophobia, darkness, and lurking creatures, pushing tension and survival to the forefront. The developers plan to bring all previously released free updates on Meta Quest, including Arcade Mode, to SteamVR early next year.

One of the highlights of the SteamVR version is the detailed VR recreation of Nutty Putty Cave. Using official maps and data from rescuer Brandon Kowallis, the team recreates the sealed Utah cave from 2009 with careful attention to realism. Players traverse the cave by walking, crawling, crouching, and climbing, while voice notes share its real-world history.

Cave Crave VR promises a mind-body experience that rewards awareness and control. So, go ahead and dive into it right now!
