Feel the Music in Synth Riders
Kluge Interactive has announced that Synth Riders will arrive on Nintendo Switch on December 15, expanding the reach of its neon-lit cyberpunk rhythm experience to a wider audience. The developers carefully adapted the award-winning music game for the Switch, delivering the same high-energy rail-riding action while fully using the console’s unique features. With refined controls and optimized modes, the Switch version preserves the fast, fluid gameplay that has defined Synth Riders across other platforms.
At launch, players will also gain access to a range of DLC music packs featuring well-known artists, including Lady Gaga and Gorillaz. Notably, Lady Gaga’s “The Dead Dance” makes its first appearance in a video game as part of the Lady Gaga music pack. These additions broaden the game’s soundtrack and offer more variety for players.
Kluge Interactive founder and CEO Arturo Perez describes the Nintendo Switch as a natural fit for Synth Riders due to its portability. The team has tailored the experience specifically for the platform, including multiplayer showdowns designed to feel engaging whether played at home or on the go.
In the game, players step into the role of a Synth Rider competing in a futuristic musical arena where timing and precision are essential. The campaign mode places players in a race against the villain XANDER, who threatens to take control of a sprawling metropolis. Progress depends on smashing incoming shapes, riding glowing rails, and executing stylish hoverboard stunts, all synchronized to a driving electronic soundtrack.
The base edition includes 28 songs and is priced at $29.99. The deluxe edition offers 42 songs, including the Gorillaz and Lady Gaga packs, for $39.99. The ultimate edition features 64 songs and all six DLC packs for $69.99. All DLC packs are also available separately at individual prices.
