Explore the Depths in Cave Crave
3R Games has rolled out a major update for its VR caving adventure game, Cave Crave. The update brings a fast-paced new game mode and an unsettling new horror experience. It is now available on Meta Quest, with PSVR2 support on the way. The SteamVR version is also nearing release, as the PC port enters its final testing phase ahead of launch in the coming weeks.

The update introduces Arcade Mode, a fresh take on Cave Crave’s underground climbing and exploration. This mode shifts the focus to speed and precision, turning every descent into a time trial through intricate cave routes. Players can race to outdo their personal bests or compete with others by hitting checkpoints, scaling walls, and sprinting through tunnels. The blend of parkour-like movement and time-based challenges transforms the serene spelunking journey into an intense and competitive experience.
Alongside the new mode comes Abyss, a terrifying addition to the game’s Horror Mode. Drawing inspiration from Lovecraftian horror, Abyss sends players deep into ancient, pitch-black tunnels. Here, every sound and shadow suggests something lurking beyond sight. The atmosphere leans heavily into psychological tension, offering a mix of awe and dread as players uncover the mysteries buried beneath the earth.
With this update, 3R Games expands Cave Crave into new territory, balancing speed-driven gameplay with spine-chilling exploration. Whether players are climbing for glory or venturing into the dark unknown, the latest update promises to deepen both the challenge and the thrill.
