5ive Bullet Games has announced that its upcoming survival horror title, Victim Complex, will be featured in Steam Scream Fest starting October 27. A brand new demo will debut during the event, giving players a first look at the chilling world of fake ghost hunter Jack Lognare as his staged hauntings turn horrifyingly real.
Victim Complex follows Jack, a man who makes his living pretending to investigate haunted locations so property owners can renovate or sell them. His videos always end with the same result: no ghosts found. But one night, while filming inside a decaying apartment complex, Jack’s familiar act begins to crumble. His tools, once props for his scams, start detecting genuine paranormal activity, and the shadows around him seem to whisper his name.
Now, trapped among restless spirits, Jack must rely on his fake ghost hunting gear to survive an all too real nightmare. Each encounter draws him deeper into the stories of the dead, forcing him to confront both the truth behind the hauntings and his own past deceit.
