Unravel the Truth in Psycho-Sleuth
Taiwanese indie studio PHOSEPO Inc. has revealed that its upcoming psychological detective adventure, Psycho-Sleuth, will be featured in Steam Next Fest. A fully playable demo will be available to players worldwide from October 13 to 20, PST. The game presents a fresh twist on classic mystery-solving by blending deduction gameplay with the concept of cognitive distortion, challenging players to navigate a world where perception itself can be unreliable.

In Psycho-Sleuth, players investigate a series of cases involving thirteen Afflicted characters. Each suffers from a unique mental disorder that alters what they can see, hear, or understand. From witnesses who cannot perceive the left side of the world to those unable to recognize faces, these cognitive distortions force players to think carefully about how they interpret evidence and reconstruct events. Every interaction and clue can shift the perception of truth, making the investigation both challenging and immersive.
The game also features debate battles where players must confront contradictions and expose hidden truths through careful reasoning. Its 2D hand-drawn animations bring a cinematic quality to every scene. Hence, it offers a visually engaging experience that enhances the psychological tension of the story. Psycho-Sleuth offers full localization in Traditional and Simplified Chinese, English, and Japanese, making it accessible to a broad international audience.
By combining intense detective work with a deep exploration of human perception, Psycho-Sleuth pushes the boundaries of the psychological mystery genre. The Steam Next Fest demo provides a first-hand opportunity for players to experience its unique approach to storytelling. Remember, understanding the minds of the afflicted is just as important as solving the crimes themselves.
