Step Into the Arena in Bloodgrounds
Daedalic Entertainment and Exordium Games have announced some major updates for the turn-based gladiator roguelite Bloodgrounds. The team has released a new free Steam demo, a new gameplay trailer, and confirmed its Early Access release date. The demo, which launched on Steam today ahead of Steam Next Fest, introduces players to fresh content. This includes a new class, abilities, weapons, and locations.
These additions will finally allow aspiring lanistas to train and equip their gladiators to dominate the arena. The game promises to deliver a perfect blend of strategic combat, city-building, and gladiatorial management.
The updated demo lets players experience the first five hours of Bloodgrounds, covering the entire first Age and beyond. Seven different gladiator classes are now playable, each with up to five unlockable abilities. Players can train gladiators to level seven, gradually unlocking new buildings and locations that enhance both their combat performance and strategic options. They can also collect a wide array of Common, Rare, and Epic items to strengthen their fighters.
To make the game more accessible, Exordium has added support for eight languages, including English, German, French, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Russian, Spanish, and Japanese. This ensures that players from around the world can dive into the brutal, turn-based gladiatorial action.
Bloodgrounds is set to enter Early Access on Steam on Wednesday, November 5, with a full 1.0 release planned for early 2026. The new demo and trailer provide a clear glimpse of the game’s depth, challenging combat, and strategic layers, making it an essential experience for fans of roguelites and gladiatorial strategy alike.
The combination of intense arena battles, city-building elements, and extensive customization promises to make Bloodgrounds a standout title in the genre.
