This classic-style turn-based JRPG invites players to step into the boots of Michael Jones, a gifted special forces operative beginning his service with the prestigious Athena private military company. Set in a cyberpunk future shaped by unrestricted human modification, powerful AIs, and experimental psionics, the game blends intrigue, deception, and high-stakes corporate conflict.
As Athena’s newest squad leader, Michael commands teams of up to three operatives on missions. It ranges from covert abductions and containment cleanups to covering corporate missteps and uncovering megacorp conspiracies. Beneath the polished streets and cutting-edge tech lies a ruthless, dog-eat-dog world where nothing is off limits.
Fractured Core’s turn-based combat pays homage to classic JRPGs while offering depth and flexibility. Players can fully customize squad members with a broad selection of weapons, armor, accessories, and skillsets, enhanced further with modifications and attachments. Psionic powers, divided into six elemental types—Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, and Dark—offer powerful tactical options, but enemies wield the same abilities, ensuring every encounter demands strategy and adaptation.
The game’s enemy roster spans from low-level corporate enforcers to biotech-created zombies and cutting-edge combat mechs. They are all governed by the same character systems as the player’s team.
