Our Favourite Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV Minigames

Our Favourite Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV Minigames

We’re only a couple months removed from the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 and already we have a new Mario Kart and a new-ish Super Mario Party game to entertain players. That is a pretty incredible feat from Nintendo! While Mario Kart World was released exclusively for the new console, Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV makes use of the Nintendo Switch 2 Upgrade Pack. The original release, Super Mario Party Jamboree, was released on Nintendo Switch in 2024. The Switch 2 version, courtesy of the Upgrade Pack, combines the original game’s addictive gameplay and minigames while adding an entirely new Jamboree TV section, designed to make use of some of the Nintendo Switch 2’s features.

We’ve previously reviewed both Super Mario Party Jamboree and Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV, and we’d encourage you to check out how they both fared. For this feature, we’re going to take a look at some of our favourite minigames from Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV. Some of these minigames are exclusive to Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV, so if you’re still playing the Nintendo Switch version, some of them won’t be accessible to you.

Want to get straight to the goods? Head on over to Minigame Bay and give our favourites a go!

Super Mario Party Jamboree + TV - Nintendo Switch 2

Here’s our favourite Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV minisgames in no particular order:

Snag the Flags

Super Mario Party Jamboree + TV - Nintendo Switch 2

A sprint around a mini metallic planet trying to tag as many flags as you can before your opponents can. The gameplay brings back fond memories of Super Mario Galaxy.

Camera-Ready

Super Mario Party Jamboree + TV - Nintendo Switch 2

Probably the least action-orientated minigame on this list, but probably one of the most clever. Timing and the ability to spot fine details in a pressure situation is key with Camera-Ready where you want to snap a pic that matches the original image as close as possible.

Tilt-a-Golf

Super Mario Party Jamboree + TV - Nintendo Switch 2

It’s mini golf with motion controls and it’s a ton of fun. If Nintendo makes a new Mario Golf game, we hope they consider adding an expanded version of Tilt-a-Golf with larger mini golf courses.

Brick Breaker

Super Mario Party Jamboree + TV - Nintendo Switch 2

Brick breaking style games are a dime a dozen, but adding the Super Mario aesthetic is brilliant. If Nintendo were to make a full-scale Brick Breaker game, we’d be 100% on board. What a great way to utilize those nostalgic pixeled characters!

Lane Change

Super Mario Party Jamboree + TV - Nintendo Switch 2

Lane Change is an addictive blend of Mario Party and F-Zero. It starts off easy enough, but when more obstacles appears and the course gets twisty, it can get quite intense. Oh, and our high score is 505 coins in one run… good luck!

Sandwiched

Super Mario Party Jamboree + TV - Nintendo Switch 2

Sandwiched is all about survival. Sandwiches fall from the sky and you must move and jump around to avoid them. Playing this in Minigame Bay gives you the ability to really test your abilities with an unlimited mode that goes until you die. It reminds us of a 3D version of the classic iPhone game The Incident (okay, that’s an obscure 15 year old gaming reference, but bonus points to you if you’ve ever played that one!)

Granite Getaway

Super Mario Party Jamboree + TV - Nintendo Switch 2

Granite Getaway is a Super Mario Party take on the iconic Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark scene where Indy is chased by the giant rock. Makes us wonder when Indiana Jones and the Giant Circle is making it’s way to Nintendo Switch 2…

Treetop Treasure

Super Mario Party Jamboree + TV - Nintendo Switch 2

Imagine Smash Bros. without the fighting, but instead you hop around platforms collecting coins. We could absolutely see this minigame return as a mode in the next Smash Bros. game!

Shuttle Scuttle

Super Mario Party Jamboree + TV - Nintendo Switch 2

A Super Mario Party version of the Deep Dataspace section in Astro’s Playroom. It’s only fair considering how much Astro’s borrowed from the Super Mario franchise!

Rosalinda’s Radical Race

Super Mario Party Jamboree + TV - Nintendo Switch 2

Super Mario Party with motion controlled snowboarding. It’s fun and it makes us want Nintendo to make a new Super Mario sports game that includes a bunch of these style games. Either that, or give us a new 1080 Snowboarding game!

Waluigi’s Pinball Arcade

Super Mario Party Jamboree + TV - Nintendo Switch 2

It’s pinball with Waluigi adding various adjustments to gameplay as you play. Think of all the different pinball tables Nintendo could create with their vast library of franchises. Nintendo, make a pinball game!

Stuffie Stacker

Super Mario Party Jamboree + TV - Nintendo Switch 2

Stuffie Stacker is by no means a new concept. Take objects from the top bar and stack them to get a tower higher than your opponents. Careful your tower is stacked well so it doesn’t topple over! As a 2v2 game, you’ll need to work well with your partner. It’s fun, intense, and we’d love to see this concept expanded. This one uses mouse controls and it works quite well.

Shell Hockey

Super Mario Party Jamboree + TV - Nintendo Switch 2

This is air hockey with a Super Mario Party twist while using mouse controls. It’s another 2v2 game, and while the game might start with just one Koopa shell puck, eventually more appear and the intensity ramps up significantly. Who doesn’t love air hockey?

And that’s our list of favourite minigames from Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV. With over 110 minigames to play, there is absolutely something for everyone. Grab a few friends and get your party on!
