HeroCraft PC and indie developer Potata Company have announced that Lord Ambermaze, their whimsical turn-based puzzle dungeon crawler, will hit Steam on August 14, 2025. Set on a mysterious island, Lord Ambermaze draws inspiration from classic Zelda adventures and Crypt of the NecroDancer. It takes place in a world where every move triggers a reaction. Each step you take shifts the world around you, turning even the simplest actions into strategic choices.
The story begins when a fishing trip goes wrong. A madman kidnaps your sister, and you end up trapped on a dangerous island filled with monsters, traps, and secrets. To rescue her, you must solve complex puzzles, fight through turn-based combat, and navigate awkward romantic encounters.
The latest trailer introduces sokoban-style puzzles, new characters, including one that looks like a pile of rocks, and a romance system that lets you build relationships by giving gifts to islanders.
