Murky Divers Dives Onto PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series With Cross-Play Support This June

Explore the Horrifying Underwater in Murky Divers

The underwater co-op horror game Murky Divers is officially heading to consoles. French independent developer Embers has announced that the title will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on June 30, 2026, following its strong commercial performance and “Very Positive” rating on Steam.

After building a dedicated audience on PC, Murky Divers is now expanding to a wider console player base. The game combines dark comedy with deep-sea horror and elements of thalassophobia, creating a tense but often chaotic co-op experience beneath the ocean’s surface. To make sure players across different platforms can team up easily, the console versions will support full cross-play. Crews of up to eight players will be able to work together across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Murky Divers first gained attention when it launched in Early Access in June 2024. The game quickly attracted streamers and fans of cooperative multiplayer titles, helping it grow a strong online presence. Over time, the developers continued to expand the experience through regular community-driven updates. This ongoing support eventually led to the game’s full 1.0 release in June 2025, which added more expedition locations, equipment, and underwater threats for players to face.

Console players will receive the complete version of the game, including all the major content updates released so far.

Alongside the digital launch, Embers has partnered with Maximum Entertainment to release a physical retail version of Murky Divers for PlayStation 5. Pre-orders for the PharmaCorps Edition will begin appearing at select retailers across North America, Europe, and Australia in the coming days.

Murky Divers is currently available on PC via Steam and will arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on June 30, 2026.
