Fight the Chickens in Tic Tactic
The Steam demo for Tic Tactic is officially live, and there’s plenty to explore. The game is nearing its Alpha phase, and unbreaded has confirmed that the development is moving quickly. The developer also mentioned that updates are coming soon as well. It will bring a range of features that deepen the strategy and enhance the experience of this deckbuilder roguelike title. Here is the outline of the full scope of updates and available features:
Weapons now play a major role in combat. They boost combo effects with bonuses and multipliers, encouraging players to experiment with different styles. You can earn weapons by defeating elite enemies and bosses, then equip them on the map screen to try new approaches. Common weapons provide simple boosts, like the Katana, which increases damage for diagonal combos. Rare weapons offer powerful effects that activate under specific conditions.

The update also adds a new biome: Mudwing Marsh. This swampy region brings in strange creatures, three elite battles, and a new boss fight. It also features new tile types and introduces a helpful frog who might assist you during your journey.
All bosses in the game now feature updated art, animations, and redesigned decks. In the demo, you’ll encounter the Thunder Samurai in Pond Ruins, a mysterious chicken in Mudwing Marsh, and the Cannoneers in The Henfields. These revamped encounters aim to feel more dynamic and challenging.
The update also includes several system improvements. Tile effects now trigger separately for player and enemy turns, making it easier to counter enemy moves. The save and load system now avoids unnecessary backtracking. The developer also refined how tile effects interact to make gameplay more consistent.
Try the demo and share your feedback through Steam, Discord, or the in-game form. Unbreaded is already working on future updates, including a leaderboard, new music, additional tiles, and much more.
