Arrowhead Addresses Helldivers Concerns and Offers Extra Bonuses
If you’ve felt a sense of underwhelming player rewards upon completing missions in Helldivers 2, you’re not alone. Developer Arrowhead Studios is keenly aware of this issue and is actively working on a solution. In the interim, they’ve introduced a special bonus event over the weekend to provide players with additional rewards.
In a recent announcement posted on Twitter, Sagar Beroshi, the deputy game director, revealed that players will receive a 50% multiplier on both XP and Requisition rewards atop the base mission score. To ensure players can confirm the application of this bonus, a Game Master Effect titled “Accounting Corrections” should be visible while aboard the Super Destroyer.
This multiplier enhancement will remain active until the stroke of midnight CET on Sunday, translating to 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET. While the weekend festivities promise excitement, a temporary hiccup with matchmaking surfaced earlier. However, Arrowhead swiftly addressed the issue with a prompt fix, restoring matchmaking functionality. To stay updated on any developments or potential issues, players are encouraged to monitor Arrowhead’s social media channels, particularly their Discord server.
Addressing community inquiries, Arrowhead emphatically stated their decision against implementing player-versus-player (PvP) gameplay in Helldivers 2 to preserve a positive gaming environment devoid of toxicity. Amidst these discussions, CEO Johan Pilestedt hinted at an imminent release of a new roadmap, offering insights into the game’s future direction.
Meanwhile, Xbox’s Phil Spencer expressed puzzlement regarding the benefits of Helldivers 2’s current PlayStation exclusivity. As the game continues to evolve and garner attention, Arrowhead remains committed to fostering a vibrant and inclusive gaming experience for all players, ensuring Helldivers 2 remains a thrilling adventure for years to come.
