Planet Zoo Will Make Its Way Onto Consoles This March
Frontier, the creative force behind the popular zoo simulator, Planet Zoo, has exciting news for console gamers. The spiritual successor to Zoo Tycoon, originally released on PC in 2019, is set to debut on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on March 26th.
Since its PC launch, Planet Zoo has received a steady stream of free updates and downloadable content (DLC) packs, enriching the gameplay with new animals, items, and engaging campaign scenarios.
Furthermore, Pre-orders for the console edition are already underway, with the standard version priced at $49.99. Opting for the Deluxe edition at $59.99 grants access to 16 additional animals and two campaign scenarios. For the ultimate experience, the $119.99 Ultimate edition includes everything in the Deluxe package, along with a Season Pass for upcoming DLC releases.
Excitingly, pre-ordering comes with exclusive perks. Three unique animals—the pygmy hippopotamus, Komodo dragon, and Thomson’s gazelle—await those who secure their copy in advance.
Frontier Developments plans to reveal more details about Planet Zoo’s console release during the Frontier Unlocked showcase, scheduled for a livestream on January 31st at 1 pm EST. Console players can anticipate a wild adventure filled with zoo management challenges and delightful animal encounters when Planet Zoo hits their gaming platforms in March.
