IndieDB organizes the Indie of the Year awards to acknowledge outstanding games, often overshadowed in the Steam Awards and other initiatives. Every year, the community eagerly anticipates the votes and reviews the top 100 nominees, determined by the community itself.
After tallying 17,010 votes from players worldwide, IndieDB has finally revealed the Indie of the Year 2023. This year witnessed numerous impressive entries, yet ultimately, Lethal Company emerged as the winner, securing the 1st place. Slay the Princess and Occupy Mars: The Game took the 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
