Shade: A Dog’s Expedition Launching Kickstarter in January

It’s a Dog’s World 

Sometimes a dog wants nothing more than to run. Luckily, this border collie gets to do just that as he lives his life with his family. Today, independent development studio fShark Games is happy to announce the upcoming Kickstarter for their sidescrolling adventure, Shade: A Dog’s Expedition. Based on a true story, the game introduces players to a an emotional narrative about a dog and their family as they traverse captivating landscapes and overcome challenges. Of course, a new trailer gives players a glimpse of what players can expect from the game. 

Shade: A Dog’s Expedition allows players to take on the role of the titular dog. Interestingly, the gameplay loop revolves around speed running through 11 different stages. Of course, the levels introduce players to unique and artistic designs that aim to test players’ reflexes. Yet, as each level progresses they get even more difficult, providing more and more challenges. The game revolves around a running and resting mechanic. Like other adventure games, Shade allows players to get new upgrades that will change the adventure and how players can approach the gameplay loop. 

Of course, the new teaser trailer gives players a glimpse of Shade: A Dog’s Expedition. Importantly, the gameplay in the trailer isn’t final, yet provides a look at the core gameplay loop and the artistic style of the game. Check out the trailer below. 

Shade: A Dog’s Expedition is launching its Kickstarter on January 1st, 2024. The game will be available on PC via Steam. More information is available on the game’s website.
