Ghostrunner 2 Chills With “Ice Pack” DLC and Free Hardcore Mode

The best action game of the year nominee is not done yet. Sometimes, when you’re on a roll, it’s better to keep the momentum going. Especially when you have a sword to slash through anything that wants to stop you. Today, 505 Games and developer One More Level are happy to announce the release of the first DLC for their dystopian action game, Ghostrunner 2. The DLC, titled “Ice Pack”, is bringing new cosmetic skins for Jack but will also heralds in the arrival of more. Interestingly, the DLC sees the arrival of the free Hardcore Mode, which also offers more rewards. A new trailer for the DLC gives players a glimpse of what awaits. 

Ghostrunner 2 re-introduces players to Jack, a cybernetic ninja in the dystopian Dharma Tower. Armed with an arsenal of gadgets and weapons, players will fight their way through an apocalyptic wasteland as they break free from the tower and take on the world beyond. In addition to the weaponry, such as Jack’s sword, shuriken’s, and more, players will also have access to a motorcycle to rip through the wasteland. Importantly, the introduction of the Ice Pack DLC allows players to customize Jack. Of course, the DLC pack introduces three sword and hand skins, along with, a motorcycle skin. Each of these skins arrives with a unique frozen web inspired theme. 

In addition to cosmetics, the DLC ushers in the free Hardcore mode. Available to all players after completing the main game, the Hardcore mode adds further difficulty. Importantly, this mode rearranges levels, places enemies differently, increases the challenges, yet allows Jack to wield all equipment and upgrades from the start.
