The Awakener: Forgotten Oath is a third-person action roguelike game with a highly flexible combat system. You will play as an Awakener, summoned by the Twelve Gods of Thread in the fantasy world of Sylvalond. Your main objective is to venture into another dimension called Nothingness to battle monsters and demons. And ultimately defeat the slaves of Chaos and stop the Demon Lord from reviving.
You will explore various dungeons in this decaying world and fight the demons using a range of combat styles. There are fellow companions summoned by the Gods, you can free and recruit them. Do this, and expand the adventurers available for your selection.
Every playthrough is a fresh start for all the players. There are tons of different builds for their characters to try out. It ranges from ground-based, aerial, physical, or one of the six elemental types. Each build choice will offer varying combat experiences. There are soul crystals and various fragments that the players can use to provide permanent upgrades.
The game also features a variety of weapon choices which not only differ in appearance but also come with different additional effects. Hence, enhancing the advantages of the players during battles.
