The Force Awakens on Nintendo Switch
We have exciting news from Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games. Their seven-game Star Wars Heritage Pack is getting a physical release for the Nintendo Switch. It will launch on 8 December for a price of $60 and the pre-orders are now open at various retail stores. The Heritage Pack first landed digitally via the Nintendo eShop earlier this year.
The bundle includes seven classic Star Wars titles. However, two of them require a digital download (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and its sequel). Here is a list of all the games:
- Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
- Star Wars: Republic Commando
- Star Wars: Episode I Racer
- Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
- Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II
This month, there has been confusion regarding Aspyr’s Knights of the Old Republic remake. Fans recently noticed that PlayStation’s 2021 announcement tweet and the reveal trailer were deleted as well. This fueled speculation about the game’s status amid reports of development issues. Some even linked it to restructuring at Embracer Group, Aspyr’s parent company. However, Sony later clarified that the removal of posts was due to expiring music licenses.
