Kombat Training
Mortal Kombat 1 officially launches in approximately one month. If you bought the Premium or Kollector’s Edition, you can play it exactly a month from now with early access. Regardless, of which edition you get, if you pre-ordered the game, you can play the beta test this weekend.
This is will be the last time you can try Mortal Kombat 1 before it comes out, but if you pre-ordered it, you are probably set on buying it anyway. There are some things you should be considering if you want to play the beta though.
For one, the beta will only be playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It will not be playable on Nintendo Switch or PC. That being said, if you pre-ordered on either of those platforms, you may still be able to play the beta, if you have a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. If you have a WB Games Account, you may still be able to redeem your pre-order beta access, then select which console you want to play the beta on. This is the process taken with physical retail pre-orders.
Here is what is available in the Mortal Kombat 1 beta. Players can use Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Kenshi, Kitana, Johnny Cage, and Li Mei. The Kameos that are available are Kano, Sonya Blade, Jax, and Frost. Two stages will be playable: The Teahouse and Johnny Cage’s Mansion. The beta will have a limited Kombat Tower against AI fighters, as well as 1v1 online matches (no cross-play).
Participants can play from August 18th to 21st, but can download it ahead of time starting on August 15th. Mortal Kombat 1 will be officially launching on September 18th for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
