Target LockedÂ
Enter the ruined world of Remnant II, take aim, and have your enemies dead to rights. The only thing you need to take with you across this world is your trusty gun, and the ability to pick off targets from a distance. Today, Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games are happy to reveal the newest archetype coming to their upcoming action-survival shooter, Remnant II. The newest class, named The Hunter, focuses on distance fighting and providing critical damage for themselves and their allies. A press release provides more details about the archetype and the game. Furthermore, a new trailer shows players what they can expect from the Hunter.Â
Remnant II is returning players to the world of the first game. A ruined and devastated world, Remnant II’s setting is full of threats that are guaranteed to prove deadly to the player. Luckily, with the newest class, they don’t need to be danger-close. However, every run of the game will bring players to a randomly generated world built from a wide pool of enemies, NPCs, locations, bosses, and weapons. So, it is still beneficial to be prepared for anything.Â
The Hunter allows players to scope out their enemies from a distance. Importantly, the Hunter focuses on abusing enemy weak points. Of course, this means critical hitting foes. A lot. Additionally using their prime trait, Dead to Rights, they can extend their active abilities by striking these weak points. This ensures the Hunter is a versatile long-distance killer. However, as a bonus to any team they are a part of, they can also mark enemies so that allies can crit them as well. Check out the new trailer for a look at the class.Â
Remnant IIÂ is releasing on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in Summer 2023.Â
