Today, Indie French studio Fireplace Games is excited to announce the release date for their upcoming action-adventure game, En Garde!. Releasing on August 16th, 2023, the game invites players to step into the role of a swashbuckling hero in a fantastical rendition of 17th-century Spain. En Garde! places players in the boots of Adalia de Volador, a renowned swashbuckling hero. Of course, players will need to use their finesse and poise as they face off against the evil Count-Duke and his forces. Importantly, En Garde! places a great deal of importance on adaptability and improvisation when it comes to combat. For instance, players can look for enemy weaknesses, use the environment, employ cunning tactics, acrobatics, and more. Of course, players can engage in the story, or take on different challenges in the arena.Â
