2 Hot 2 Wheels
Just under two years ago, Milestone released Hot Wheels Unleashed. The game gave life to the classic toy line just as our imaginations once did as children. This week, they announced that Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged will be coming out in September.
You may be asking yourself, “do we really need a sequel?” It is a valid question. Why not just make DLC? Well, Milestone addresses that non-directly. Their announcement explains some of the improvements the sequel is making, which does sound like more than a patch or DLC can provide.
Will there be more vehicles? Absolutely. If Hot Wheels has one thing it is a cubic buttload of vehicles. This time, they are adding motorcycles and ATVs to the mix. The game will launch with over 130 vehicles. If that wasn’t enough choice, players can also customize the performance of their vehicles with Skill Points.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 will also have a more aggressive way to race. Lateral Dash allows vehicles to swipe left or right to attack other racers or defend their place in the race. It will also have a story campaign that focuses on four characters. With the premise being toys that race around the human world, one might speculate on how that plays into the story.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged will be coming out on October 19th. It will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
