Warner Bros and Avalanche Software had been working on Hogwarts Legacy for some time. The game suffered delays to ensure its perfection, and upon release, the companies reaped the rewards. Today, the companies have confirmed that the game has sold more than fifteen million units and earned one billion in sales globally. It released on February 10th on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a Switch version coming on July 25th.
Despite controversies related to transgender issues and J.K. Rowling at its release, the game has surpassed expectations.
