PixelJunk Scrappers Deluxe Will Release On Consoles In 2023
Dylan Cuthbert’s Q-Games has been working on their upcoming title, PixelJunk Scrappers for some time. In August 2022, the company announced that the game will release on PC sometime in 2023. Today, the developer has confirmed that the game will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch alongside PC later this year. It will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Unfortunately, Q-Games is set to confirm a release date for the title on the platforms.
To celebrate the announcement, the company released a new, short trailer showing off various elements of the game. In the game, players are tasked with cleaning up the streets of Junktown as Scrappers, a squad of robot garbage collectors. Furthermore, players can clean up the streets alone or in a team of four. However, in Junktown, time is money and players must be fast and efficient in order to receive bigger rewards.
Additionally, while cleaning, players must look out for robotic rivals who will interfere with operations and affect efficiency. Furthermore, players will be able to unlock new characters and unlock various customization options. Besides that, the developers have worked on twenty-five stages, weapon drops, a cyberpunk world that draws inspiration from real-world Japan and multiple fighting styles. Also, players will be tasked with mastering these fighting styles to defeat enemies and remain the best Scrapper around.
The release of the game on consoles along with PC is a great sign!
