Sea of Stars Drops Playable Demo Along With August Release Date

An Anticipated RPG

Welcome to a wonderous world full of adventure. A world where two children hold the key to the fate of the world. Today, during Nintendo Direct,  Sabotage Studio announced the release date and a new demo for their upcoming turn-based RPG, Sea of Stars. Releasing August 29th on PC, PlayStation consoles, and Nintendo Switch, the game aims to capture the feeling of 90’s golden-era roleplaying classics. A press release provides more details on the game itself, as well as the demo. Additionally, a new trailer for the demo and release date give players a glimpse of the game.

Sea of Stars

Sea of Stars introduces players to two children of the solstice, Valere and Zale. The time has come for them to face their duty and become Solstice Warriors. Of course, this is because only they possess the power to stand against the horrific creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer. Players can look forward to active-turn-based combat, where players can press buttons in sync with character attacks to increase damage. Yet, that isn’t all. The active combat also takes place during defense to decrease damage taken, meaning the player must always be engaged in combat.

Of course, the world of Sea of Stars is expansive and the exploration is unshackled. Players can swim, climb, vault, jump and more as they navigate the travel system. Importantly, there are also many, many things to do in the world from cooking, to fishing, mini-games, and more. Check it all out in the new demo trailer below.

Sea of Stars is releasing for Switch, PlayStation, and PC on August 29th, 2023.
