Path of Exile: Siege of the Atlas Upcoming Expansion Is Full of Content
Path of Exile is a very popular ARPG that consistently improves upon its end-game content. Yesterday, the game’s developers did an official reveal of the upcoming expansion, Siege of the Atlas. Siege of the Atlas will add a ton of new content to the game allowing players to continue their ‘grind’. The expansion will release on PC on February 4th and its console launch will follow on February 9th. Path of Exile is free to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
In a very thorough thirty minute reveal, the team behind Path of Exile explained various new elements being introduced into the title. In this expansion, two new Eldritch Horrors threaten to consume the Atlas of Worlds. To stop the Searching Exarch and Eater of Worlds, players must join forces with Commander Kirac and defend the Atlas.
To defeat the Eldritch Horrors, players must explore the map and slay their subordinates to obtain useful rewards. Additionally, the Atlas mechanics have been reworked to create deeper systems. There will also now be one massive Atlas-wide passive tree with over 600 skills for players to choose from. The four pinnacle bosses also drop their own unique items, so defeating them will reward players quite handsomely.
Also, the two Eldritch Horrors have their own set of Implicit Modifiers, which can be imbued onto items using Eldritch Embers and Ichors. As a result, players can set themselves apart with the best gear and modifiers.
Furthermore, players will enjoy new stash tabs, competitive boss events and game balance improvements.
