The Launch of Fortnite Chapter 3
Fortnite Chapter 3 launched this weekend, and fans are excited to see where it goes. It already started with a bang. Dwayne Johnson and Spider-Man are in the game now, and really, what more can fans want? Two of the most popular people are now in Fortnite.
I’ve only played a bit of Fortnite, but the launch of Chapter 3 means I will give it another go. These chapters give Fortnite a fresh start. They change the map and add new features, so new players and incoming players are all learning some new stuff.
Fortnite Chapter 3 is a great way to keep things fresh while not alienating new players. I know I don’t like jumping into big games that have been going on for years because everyone figured everything out already. Giving players like me the ability to jump into a new chapter with a fresh start is a great way to attract new players.
Chapter 3 Season 1: Flipped lives up to its name. The Fortnite Island—the map fans knew for the past year—has changed completely, unveiling never-before-seen areas for players to explore. With Spider-Man now a playable character, players will be able to check out the very familiar, towering, and web-covered Daily Bugle. And speaking of webs, on December 11, players will be able to obtain Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters in-game and, for the first time, swing around Island.
I can’t deny my interest in swinging around the island like Spider-Man. Or, now that Spider-Man is a playable character, swing around the island as Spider-Man.
I have to give Epic credit with Fortnite. Fortnite Chapter 3 brings a fresh coat of paint to Fortnite, and they have done a good job of doing that for years now. I wonder just how long Fortnite can remain dominant. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for the game.
