PUBG’s 8.2 Update Adds New Areas To One Of The Maps
Although many games now feature a battle royale mode, PUBG was the game that started it all. Throughout its first 7 seasons, the game has continued to add and innovate on the already successful title. On August 12, the team working on Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds will be releasing a new update that will add a new weapon, grenade, and more.
When the 8.2 update launches, players will be able to use the new MG3. In the blog post, the company went into detail about the new light machine gun, explaining, “With two different rates of fire, a bipod for stability, tracer rounds to help you keep track of your spray, and increased weapon damage to vehicles, there’s a new reason to fight over the big red box.” In addition, players will also have access to a new grenade. The Decoy Grenade will allow players to make noises that sound like gunfire. This will allow players to use the new grenade as a way of distraction an opponent.
Furthermore, the company has noted several changes they are making to the game. C4 and the MG3 have been added into care packages, while LMGs, the MG3, DP28, and M249 will increase fire damage to vehicles. The Last two major changes to the title include small quality of life changes and an additional area to one of the maps. In the post, the company announced that “the Throwables Wheel has been updated to better facilitate multiple recent additions to the PUBG throwable arsenal.” In addition, the company has added four docks to Erangel.
