Fast & Furious Crossroads Gets a New Trailer and Release Date
While Fast & Furious Crossroads was announced at the Game Awards, no official release date was announced at the time, but now we have an idea of when to expect the action-packed title based on the film franchise. Crossroads will be a full-on car combat game with gamers firing off rockets and other weapons to take down hovercrafts, armored vehicles and a space shuttle. Many of the original cast members reprise their roles in this Fast & Furious game and fans of the series can enjoy some callbacks to the films. Fast & Furious Crossroads explodes onto Xbox One, PC and PS4 on August 7th.
Considering the limitations of COVID-19, it seems as though the Fast & Furious actors who join Crossroads have mailed their performances in but the motion capture seems to have already been finished by the time it was announced at the Game Awards. Developers at Slightly Mad Studios have promised some sort of unique 3-person multiplayer mode, although no details have been provided yet so it’s anyone’s guess as to what that entails. Athens, Barcelona and Morocco are three of the real-world locations that Fast & Furious fans will zoom through at high speeds when Crossroads releases this summer.
Fast & Furious Crossroads will include a lot of the cars and gadgets familiar to fans of the film franchise, as well as a lot of the death defying action sequences. Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson reprising their roles as Dom, Letty, and Roman in Crossroads, with a story mode that expands on the film franchise and is seemingly canon. Some new actors joining the franchise with this game are Asia Kate Dillon and Sonequa Martin-Green.
