Prepare Yourself
Naughty Dog announced earlier this morning that a new trailer for The Last of Us Part 2 is going to go live tomorrow. This is huge news for fans of the series as there have been very limited amounts of promotional work by the developers. As it stands right now, the most recent trailer for The Last of Us was released in September 2019.
As most people know, there was a major leak that happened a few days ago that has spoiled the entire plotline of the game. So if you are still wanting to go into The Last of Us Part 2 without knowing how it pans out, you should try and avoid comment sections and forums. The leaks appear to be legit as they came from a disgruntled Naughty Dog employee who was not happy about was he perceived as being overworked and underpaid.
Regardless of the mess that has stemmed from the story leaks, it looks as though Naughty Dog is going to try and move forward as planned and put this fiasco behind them. The Last of Us Part 2 is only a few weeks away from its launch date. The original Last of Us is largely regarded as one of the best games of the decade if not all time. It should go without saying that the sequel is going to have to really step it up in order to outshine the first game.
Most fans are hoping to see a little bit more gameplay then what was shown off in previous trailers. The only real example of “in-game” footage has obviously been tinkered with in order to appear more cinematic to audience members. Hopefully, we will all be able to see something that is a little more genuine.
The Last of Us Part 2 launches on June 19th on the PS4.
