Halo 2 is Back Baby

The Master Cheif Collection first appeared on PC in December 2019. Launching with only Halo: Reach available, 343 Studios vowed to slowly push out the rest of the Halo titles in chronological order. 343 Studios has been vigorously testing Halo 2 over the past few months in order to make sure the game does not have any major bugs when it releases. This strategy by the developers has angered some fans of the series, but it appears as though it has paid off in the long run. Both Halo: Reach and Halo: Combat Evolved has run into very little hiccups if any at all. Many have contributed this to the time and effort that has been put into making sure the individual games are ready when they are pushed out the door.

The Halo 2 that everyone will be getting their hands on is the remasted version that was made specifically for the console release of the Master Cheif Collection on the Xbox One. There have been no new additions in terms of gameplay, but Halo 2 has been painted over with some beautiful new graphics. Something that old-time fans of the game should appreciate.

Halo 2 is largely regarded by a lot of OG Halo fans as a high point in the series. It introduced a ton of new gameplay mechanics and single-handedly propelled Xbox Live into what it is today. While Halo might not be what it once was in the 2000s, it does not mean that you can’t go back and relive the glory days.

Halo 2 will become available on PC on May 12th.
