Updates and New Content Could StallÂ
The coronavirus has had an enormous impact on the world and its various industries and video games are no exception. While some studios have managed to work around the problems created by this pandemic, Ubisoft has warned its fans that new content and updates could be released less frequently. Ubisoft has ordered all of its employees to now work from home in order to slow the spread of the virus. This is expected to slow down productivity. Ubisoft has warned that Rainbow Six Siege will not be getting the attention it might have once gotten.
Updates and other expansions for Rainbow Six Siege are still going to keep arriving, but just at a much slower rate. It is still not clear how severely this virus is going to affect the industry. But if self-isolation is still going to be mandatory for the months to come, don’t expect everything to go according to plan. Ubisoft has a lot in store for Rainbow Six Siege in 2020, but it does not look like all of that will come to fruition. Sometimes global pandemics can really get in the way of your plans.
“While the day-to-day play experience will remain unchanged on Rainbow Six Siege, we foresee that smaller patches will be cut in the short term. This will not impact upcoming content that is ready for release in the current update. However, we are assessing the impact on future planned content releases and we will keep the community up to date on any shifts in timelines that might occur,” said Ubisoft.
