Could This Finally Save Fallout 76?Â
The much-anticipated DLC to Fallout 76 has finally gotten a release date. Fans of the game can expect to see Wastelanders arrive on April 7th of this year if everything goes according to plan. The Wastelanders DLC is meant to finally add in NCP’s to the game. Something that fans have been asking for since the game initially launched in 2018. This was attempted in some capacity earlier, but it failed miserably. Almost all of the attempts to make Fallout 76 have been a total disaster. Hopefully, this goes better.
The idea of adding NCP’s is not new. Wastelanders was meant to be released back in October 2019, but it was pushed back thanks to bugs and other shortcomings. Now Bethesda says it is ready. This is probably going to be the last chance for Bethesda to win over fans. The game has been mired in a mountain of technical issues since its launch and while some have been fixed, there is still a long way to go. A lot of fans still think Fallout 76 is an incomplete game.
Fallout 76 has been a huge stain on the previously stellar reputation of Bethesda. Todd Howard has now become a meme amongst the gaming community and Fallout 76 has remained a punchline or an example of how not to make a game.
The trailer does look promising but that does not mean much. Hopefully, Fallout 76 can become what it was meant to be. The addition of NPCs should help with a lot fo the game’s problems when it comes to a lack of content. But this new expansion could just introduce a ton of new bugs into the game. It has happened previously. Only time will tell.
