Fortnite Chapter 2’s New Features Have Been Revealed
Fortnite Chapter 2 launched on Tuesday with new features such as swimming, fishing, motorboats, teammate carrying, hiding spots (like haystacks), and a brand new island that has 13 new locations to fight in. The new chapter was reportedly leaked on Monday but now it’s official.
The new free update is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Android, iOS, and Mac.
In an effort to make progression less grindy, Epic Games launched Fortnite Chapter 2’s Season 1 Battle Pass which has new medals and a new XP system. The new battle pass costs 950 V-Bucks and buyers can earn up to 1,500 V-Bucks from their play, according to Epic Games.
There’s also a new “streamlined” arsenal and weapons can be upgraded at an Upgrade Bench. Additionally, the update brings several new teammate interactions, per a press release: “Heal your squad with the Bandage Bazooka, carry your fallen teammates to safety, and celebrate with new group emotes like high fives!”
