Cowboys In Space
Red Dead Redemption 2 has been a massive success. Not only has it been hailed as one of the best games of the decade. But it still remains the best selling game of 2019 despite the fact that its initial release was in 2018. If you are a diehard fan of Rockstar’s cowboy series then there could be more Wild West content on the horizon. An anonymous account on Reddit has claimed that they have gotten a hold of some top-secret information pertaining to the next RDR2 DLC. If you have not beaten Red Dead Redemption 2 yet then you probably should before reading any further. There are huge spoilers below.
The leaker has claimed that the DLC is currently at the halfway mark in its development. He has said the players will be able to finally control Arthur again. Which is good news. But, the story is supposed to revolve around aliens. Seriously. If these rumors are correct then Arthur and company are going more than likely be fighting aliens in the next DLC.
As crazy as this sounds, it is possible. The first Red Dead Redemption DLC, Undead Nightmare, had the players play as John Marston a character who dies at the end of the game. Much like Arthur. Marston then is tasked with containing a zombie apocalypse. The writing is goofy and over the top. It was a ton of fun.
If Rockstar took a not so serious root with the first Red Dead then why should they do anything different in the second installment? Cowboys versus aliens is already a meme anyway. Internet nerds the world over could finally know who would win in a fight. These are only rumors. But Arthur Morgan vs aliens isn’t as big of a stretch as some might think.
